Abstract:
Materials related to the Junior League of Buffalo, active in the area from 1919 to the present. The collections includes corporate records, photographs, newspaper clippings, slides, audio and video recordings, magazines published by the Junior League, and materials related to events and programming.

Copyright of papers in the collection may be held by their authors, or the authors' heirs or assigns. Scope and Content:
The Junior League of Buffalo records contain corporate records and materials related to programming and fundraising events related to the League. The corporate records are primarily from the Buffalo League and include member handbooks, architectural drawings of the current building the Junior League resides in, history regarding the League in Buffalo, and meeting minutes from the board and executive meetings as well as various councils. Items related to the biennial Decorator’s Show House fundraising event include planning documents, photos, newsclippings, an audio cassette with a lecture on the Appleton Mansion, scrapbooks, and promotional materials. Items related to the Great Lake Effects Cookbook fundraiser include planning documents, photographs and promotional materials. Materials related to other events and programming, including the Follies fundraisers, include brochures, fliers, and programs. Publications include Perspectus, Leaguline, and other newsletters. There are a number of scrapbooks which include photos, newsclippings, promotional materials, and four watercolor paintings of costumes from “The Snow Queen” production.

Restrictions:
The Junior League of Buffalo Records, 1919-2015 are open to researchers. Video recordings may only be accessed onsite within the library at this time.
