Materials in the Division of Athletics History collection include game programs, media guides, photographs, ephemera, memorabilia, and uniforms and apparel that represent multiple sports at the University at Buffalo.

Scope and Content:
The Division of Athletics History collection contains game programs, media guides, sports related uniforms and apparel, various sports awards, photographs and various ephemera and memorabilia. The game programs include football, soccer, a Football Awards Banquet program and an Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony program. The uniforms and apparel included are the top of the uniform of Kathy Brinkworth, Rasaun Young, and Ed Ellis, five undated UB "B" patch block letters, two UB sweatshirts (nylon and wool), a white football cotton t-shirt, football cleats, a Hoover Cup patch, a UB football helmet, and a UB "B" football patch. The awards include baseball, bowling, swimming and diving, track and field, football, cheerleading, post graduate scholarship, soccer, Athletics Hall of Fame, volleyball, and the American Football Coaches Association. The photographs include digital photographs of UB football players, a UB football game, and a 2008 wrestling championship. Physical photographs include wrestling teams from 1970-2002 (bulk 1970-1978), and 70 undated projector slides.

The materials in this collection are organized into five series: Series I. Awards, 1963-2009; Series II. Ephemera and Memorabilia, circa 1990-2022; Series III. Photographs, 1970-2008; Series IV. Game Programs and Media Guides, 1949-2013; Series V. Uniforms and Apparel, 1978-1998.
Restrictions:
The Division of Athletics History collection, 1949-2022 (bulk 1963-2008), is open to researchers.
