Collection contains digital images and analog photographic material concerning University at Buffalo buildings, students, faculty, presidents, departments, and campus life as captured by the Division of University Communications, formerly the Office of Public Affairs.

Scope and Content:
Collection contains digital images and analog photographic material concerning University at Buffalo buildings, students, faculty, presidents, departments, and campus life as captured by the Division of University Communications, formerly the Office of Public Affairs. Analog material includes prints, negatives, and slides. Digital material includes images, publications, and project files. The materials in this collection correspond to the UB Photo Database and the UB Photo Database Archives, as well as the University Archives Public Affairs Photograph Collection.
Arrangement:
Collection is arranged into three series: Series I. Digital images; Series II. Photographs, negatives, and slides; Series III. University Communications Project files.<p>Series II. Photographs, negatives, and slides, is further arranged into five sub-series: Sub-Series A. Faculty and staff alphabetical files; Sub-Series B. Alumni and student alphabetical files; Sub-Series C. Guest and visitor alphabetical files; Sub-Series D. Subject files; Sub-Series E. Public Affairs archival files. The analog material in SubSeries D. correspond with the digital images in Series I. Digital images. The material in Sub-Series E. corresponds with the Public Affairs photograph collection, a related collection located in the University Archives.</p>
Restrictions:
The University Communications photograph collection, 1846-2007, is open to researchers. Access to digital material provided via the University Archives' Digital Archives online repository. Digital files in Series III. University Communications Project files may only be accessed onsite within the library at this time.
