Scope and Content:
The Department of Chemistry records consists of administrative and departmental documentation, with particular focus on the graduate program. Of notable interest are the Annual Reports, Self Studies, Graduate Program Reviews, and photographic material, including digital images.
Arrangement:
<p>This collection is arranged into four series: Series I. Annual Reports, 1959-2011; Series II. Minutes, 1976-2007; Series III. Subject files, 1957-2014; Series IV. Photographs, slides, and digital images, 1957-2011. Series III. is further arranged alphabetically.</p><p>Born-digital materials are integrated into their corresponding series based on content. The original order of the files is retained.</p>

Some Annual Reports and Graduate Program Reviews may contain student information.<p>Researchers are advised: the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals without the consent of those individuals may have legal cause for action if facts concerning an individual's private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person. Researchers agree to make no notes or other recordation of privacy protected information if found within the archival collections, and further agree not to publish, publicize, or disclose such information to any other party for any purpose if found within the archival collections.</p><p>Researchers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the University at Buffalo and its officers, employees, and agents from and against all suits, claims, actions, and expenses arising out of use of archival collections held by the University at Buffalo.</p>
